The development ol' the whole aggregate of human life being the desire of the Administration, the girls are guided in the solution of problems of mind and body. Mens sana in corpore sand' is the aim of the Physical Educa- tion department. Athletics create competition as well as Good Sportsmanship in Victory and Defeat. -Through the medium of the Classics, Fine Arts and Social Activities, the cultural is developed in the Rosalian irls 111 b I ' l S preparatlon lor the woman ol tomorrow. Eikiiiiiiiiiiiiiqiliiiiiiiiiliiiiiiil 4 iii!iiiiiiii Foreword The Post War World, with its joys and sorrows, its trials and disappointments - opens its portals to us, the Class of 1946. For the past four years, the combined efforts of the Administration and Faculty have taught, guided and pre- pared us for this moment with a View to our development mentally, spiritually, physically and culturally. So, why should we fear? Fortified by an Education such as ours, we realize that our diplomas are not passports to a workless Utopia but only the expression of our duties as citizens of tomorrow. It is the purpose of this ANNUAL to depict in word and picture how the curriculum of this School provides the four-sided education which prepares the Rosalian for the Post War Nvorld. YVe hope that the story found Within these pages will inspire the readers with the same lofty ideals which have accrued to us during our stay at St. Rosalia's. Father is a very vital factor in our school life, and We have found him a friend and counsellor in our every activity. It is with great pleasure that we make this dedication. mifiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikiii 7 Our hurch The Church is a monument to the spiritual training which we receive while attending school. It places superabundant religious opportunities within our reach. Here we have the advantage of daily Mass, Holy Communion and Confession. Here we may make daily visits to the Blessed Sacrament, attend Lenten devotions and Benediction-all of which contribute to our spiritual life. 8 W , gf: Q -w f, ff qi .
