With this as its guiding principle our history department presents to its stu- dents a look at the world from the beginning of man down to the present time. Civics and United States History show the development of our country and the complexities of our government on both the local and the na- tional scale. A better understanding of these ideas makes them more ready and capable of handling their responsibilities when they have to take over the reins of government.
