Administration Very Rev. William Doyle, O.S.A., M.A. Fr. Doyle has demonstrated his ability to lead by executing the first year of his Priorship at St. Rita with vigor, personality, and enthusiasm. To the Cascian his executive record is an old story at our school since he was graduated from the great class of 1924. We are confident that the remainder of his priorate will bear a harvest of spiritual and temporal blessings for himself and St. Rita. Very Rev. R, P. Fink, O.S.A., M.A. When Father Fink came to St. Rita in l935, our school was a little red schoolhouse. What he has done to make it a Colossus of modern educa- tional growth in science and technol- ogy may be seen by inspecting the premises bounded by 63rd, 64th, Claremont, and Oakley Avenues. Fr. Page 14 Student Counsel ors Student Counsellors Director: Fr. Francis Crawford, O.S.A. Fr. Crawford has demonstrated his unusual fitness for this ditticult position by discharging the physical problems and resolving the psychological com- plexities with the execution of a magi- cian. For seven years Father has held this office. In 1951-1952 Fr. Crawford has been athletic director. He is a star of the first magnitude. He is an expert boxing instructor. Assistant Student Counsellor: Fr. Sidney Horne, O.S.A. Fr. Horne has worked six hard years in this office, and his services in the management of 1,800 boys have been priceless. Father is also an excellent teacher in the field of business and in business administration. Assistant Counsellor: Fr. William Thomas, O.S.A. Since Green Hall was rebuilt to accommodate so many overflow classes, Fr. Thomas has handled the assignation of the office with placid success and dignity. Father can teach nearly every- thing well, he is of dual value to St. Rita. Assistant Counsellor: Fr. leo Cavanaugh, O.S.A. The Cascian is glad and St. Rita is fortunate in having one of its former professors back at school to serve in an added capacity: Student Counsellor in Green Hall. He is always helpful to teachers and to students in hectic ac- tivities in our Chapel Building. 1
