Belc’n Rial Rojas Edwin Pineda Bele’n was a very special foreign exchange student who came to us from Buenos Aires, Argentina. We found her to be an outgoing and amiable person who was always ready to make a new friend. During her all too brief stay we came to know her well and will miss her dearly. Our good friend who came to us from San Pedro Sula, Hon- duras was Edwin Pineda. Edwin was an open, honest and sincere person who always had time for his friends. Many of us thought of him as a brother and he will be sorrily missed by the very special friends he made here. tLKlIilMl IrLliL Row 1: C. Sawyer, H. Maxfield, A. Peck, M. O'Neil, T. Gokey, J. Rachel Clookey. This year’s team started with 17 members and ended with the same. This was incredibly good when you look at a record of 0-13-1. Most would think players would get discouraged and take the easy way out and quit.” Not so. Every girl worked hard to try and improve her skills and give their most at every game. I would like to congratulate Stephanie Smith for receiving 2nd team N.A.C. and Teena Susice for receiving honorable mention. 61 t tlilrlrLLi; L to R, Row It L. Fraser, L. CJpton. R. Martin, D. The team was led by Steve Boulds who received All-Northern honorable mention. i4They are a good bunch of kids. 62 Standing, Row 3: J. Page, T. Susice, M. Parker, A. Boulds. Mr . Coeke. Row 2: M. We were the greatest of all teams in the S.R.F. school history and proved it by winning the Section X Championship at St. Lawrence University, December 17,1986. This team went into the final match with 16 wins, no losses. We started our season hosting a tournament with last year's Section X Champs (Edwards Knox), Brushton-Moira and Malone. We played 3 matches and won the tournament, losing only 1 game the entire day. From the beginning of the season to the end the girls played well as a team. They possessed strong serving and excellent defensive and offensive skills. When they did get behind in a match they had that “never say die” attitude which every team should possess. We had several strong players on and off the bench, who could handle any situation that arose. Our team had 7 chosen for All Northerns, one who was M.V.P. for our division. Congratulations to a great group of ladies and championship team. The Junior Varsity team also won their division for the second straight year. They also went undefeated and deserve a lot of credit for their hard work. Keep up your fine efforts. Row One: Mindy Rock, Susan Ludwig. Row Two: Carey Patrick, Cindy White. This team had many close losses and never gave up until the whistle blew. There were two losses by two points and one loss in overtime. A small team and fear of foul trouble left us at a deficit all season. This team proved to be one of the best J.V. girls basketball teams at 8.R.F. They showed a drive and initiative to see them through the season with an outstanding record. We are proud of the J.V. girls. 65 Row 1: L. Upton, D. LaBarr. R. Martin. Row 2: T. Egeland, M. Ploof, M. The Saints were blown- out by Parishville, but the other matches were all close. The “86” Saints were a fairly young team and will be all returning, except for one player. Rachel Clookey was named second team all northern and Cassie Smith honorable mention. 67 Row 1: R. Prior, M. Cheney, W. Thsrrett, J. Bassett, Manager B. Poquette. Row 2: R. Smith, R. Fountain, E.
