 ■ FOREWORD ADVERTISEMENTS His life was gentle, and the elements So mixed in him, that Nature might stand up, And say to all the world, 'This was a man!’ SHAKESPEARE The 1963 edition of the Regent is the Senior Gift to the school. It is a record of our satisfactions, contributions, sorrows, and challenges. Our theme, Clouds, appropriately describes our entrance into our Senior Year. It was an ethereal attitude. There was something celes- tial about being a Senior. But as we matured and faced the demands that this year offered, we came to a more concrete and realistic atti- tude.

MAURICE FINNEGAN Superintendent Members of the Board of Education, Representing all areas of the school district, establish policy for our school, reflected in the system- atic efficient operation of an institution of learning. It is a difficult and essential phase of school life. Long hours, which often go unno- ticed, but for which we are deeply grateful, are spent in determining this policy. The Board of Education makes the most efficient use of the tax dollar in providing the instruments of education. This year under the leadership of our new superintendent, Mr. Maurice Finnegan, new services and equipment have been provided.
