Holiness Worship ATION «3 The village was incorporated on May 28, 1887. Mr. H. E. O’Neil was the first supervisor of the town and later became State Senator. The town officials also included a Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Commissioner of Highways, Assessor, Overseer of the Poor, Justice of the Peace, Con- stables, Sealer of Weights and Measures, and Excise Com- missioner. Town Meetings were well attended in the early days of the town and many heated arguments ensued. Dinners were held for voters who came from long distances. Bob Maroney has been the only Democrat elected to the office of Super- visor. A town jail was located on River Street. We hope to preserve in the pictures below a cross-sec- tion of the activities of our town. I m o olic M.

High in the mountains, yet in a valley so small, Lies St. Regis Falls, so loved by us all. Fresh air and sunshine surround our small town. We go skiing and skating the winters round. Our summers, so pleasing, to the beach we go, Or folks with fish poles up the river row. In our school, clubs and churches, pride we possess. In our hearts, our home town surpasses the rest. Memories of St. Regis Falls' hillsides, townspeople, and school will always remain dear to our hearts, no matter how far we may travel on life's journey. We will forget nothing. The town where we worked and played, suffered and rejoiced, will always be a part of us. TO OUR TOWN AND THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN IT, WE DEDICATE THIS 1957 REGENT.
