SISTER MARCELLINE lsister of Maryknolll After four years of imbibing a Christo-centric education taught in the reflected brilliance of the light of Christ... And four years of privileged association with dedicated Sisters who personalized reflection of that Christ- light in their daily lives... And after coming to dedicate our own personal Year Book to the Christopher theme: uBetter to light one can- dle than to curse the darknessn... With the hope that we, the seniors, will take our own nlittle candlesn across the threshold of graduation to an ailing world... Then came Sister Marcelline, of Maryknoll, with the vi- brant, soul-stirring, eye-witness account of the last blessed days of Bishop Ford, one of the most recent of our modern-day martyrs...one of America's most heroic Christophers... With a countenance radiating the Christ-light of martyred sanctity with which she was s privileged associate, Sister seemed almost a Providential visitor to our school, when thoughts of Christ-bearing ran high in our minds. To Sister Marcelline, for bringing us a dynamic, living experience with a sainted Christopher... And for givin ,us, in her own person, a vital, flesh-and blood link between saintly heroism in a faraway land and our own daily lives... We express our sincerest gratitude, coupled with a guaran- teed remembrance in our prayers, that she may soon again realize her desire to return to the mission fields to continue bringing Christ to others.
