Varsity Girls The Lady Lions, under the guidance of Coach Ken Gilmore, improved greatly from their 9-15 record of last year to a 16-7 record this year. This is the third best record in St. Pius ' history. The Lions were also named DeKalb County Team of the Week, and after beating a tough Shamrock team 68-52 were ranked eighth in DeKalb County. The success of the girls was due to their togetherness and team play, as well as their diversified talent. Junior Joanie Reardon, high scorer for the season, was also named to the Greater Atlanta Prep Classic All Tournament team along with Melanie Crelia and Mary Angelich.
