The Golden Lines is a prize- winning edition. Under the direction of Mrs. Mary Catharine Luedtke, this year ' s publications tied for third place at the February Georgia State workshop with 70 Atlanta area schools competing. In May, 1978, the newspaper won first place from the Atlanta Press Club; and it has consistently won general excellence awards from the Georgia Scholastic Press Association. The Golden Lines is also a member of Quill and Scroll. Co-editors are Patty McGonegal and Meghan O ' Neil. 53

the Literary Lover Colored Easter Eggs, bunny revolutions, donating plasma — all were money-making and advertising campaigns thought up and produced (in color) by this year ' s Ragnaroc staff. Moderated by Miss Charleen Klister (bottom of facing page) and edited by Nagget Kelly (this page) and Robert Klant (facing page, top left), the magazine staff worked from September until May preparing the literary contributions of St. Pius students for print. Their duties included selection, proofreading and layout; and watching over the operation was mascot Kermit the Frog. 55
