CLASS HISTORY In the year 1952 we started our high school career. At first we were rather leary of this high school life, but with the help of Miss Mortand we soon became accutomed to it. During the year we had a skating party. a valentine party, and a square dance, all of which were successful. Our class officers werer President ............ ........ ll flildred Shaner Vice President .,.............. Joyce McBride Secretary ......,.. ........ M ary Jane Edinger Treasurer ........ ......... L arry Ashbaugh Sgt. At Arms ...... .... ...... R o bert Flick At the start of our second year we welcomed a new member into our class, William McCanna. We started our Sophomore year with a skating party and a ham raffle. In November we ordered our class rings which arrived in February. Our class officers were: President ........................ Larry Ashbaugh Vice President .................. Joyce McBride Secretary .................... Mary Jane Edinger Treasurer .....,..... .......... D ick Beichner Sgt. At Arms ........ ....... W illiam Burrell As Juniors we had the honor of being upper classmen. Though we had only thirteen members in our class, we were very active. We participated in social activities by sponsor- ing a turkey raffle, luncheon, two movies, and a newspaper. We finished the year with the Junior-Senior Prom. It was very successful and enjoyed by all- Our class officers were: President ............................ David Yingling Vice President .............. Larry Ashbaugh Secretary ......... ........ ly lary Jane Edinger Treasurer ........ ....... R ichard Beichner Sgt. At Arms .................... William Burrell This year, as Seniors, we contributed three excellent basketball players to the team: BillBurrell, Dave Yingling, and Bill McCanna. We also contributed three cheerleaders! Mary Jane Edinger, Millie Shaner, and Peg Ditty. Millie and Peg sang in the Girls' Trio. Our social activities included two record hops, several luncheons, a skating party. a turkey raffle, and a square dance. We also sold magazine subscriptions. One of the high- lights of the year was the Banquet and Prom given by the Juniors in our honor. We are grateful to the Juniors for this wonderful affairg we certainly enjoyed ourselves. Baccalaureate services were held on May 27 and Commencement on May 29. Our class officers were: President ............. ......... D avid Yingling Vice President ................ W illiam Burrell We hope our future may be as successful as our past has been and we wish the best of luck to all the Senior Classes yet to come.
