We hope you are equally as proud to add your name to the list of fine students who have graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College. The South, and especially the State of Florida, is moving forward rapidly and vigorously. You have seen the results of this development on the cam- pus and in our cities, with many new buildings, new homes and new in- dustries. Whether you go on to full time employment or to further education, we hope you will make your future here with us. We watched you approach and finally appear within the scope of our influence. . 7 Now we, the faculty of St. Petersburg Junior PreSLdent S College, watch you travel on. We are proud to acknowledge you as ours. Our wish for you is continued success. Message We hope you gathered much knowledge while you were here. Merely to gather knowl- edge, however, is rather a useless accomplishment. We sincerely hope that you have learned better how to apply this knowledge to assuring for your- self and your fellow men an improved world for generations to come. Please remember that line in our Alma Mater which reads, lland friendships made, years will recall? Remember us. We will be delighted to see you on campus whenever you can find time to return for a visit. A familiar face to each student at St. Petersburg Junior College is that of Dr. Michael Bennett, President of the College. Not only is he the head of our college but he is a friend to each of us, faculty as well as students. As the sponsor of Student Government he gives many hours to helping the government of the college to func- tion properly and to the advantage of the students. Dr. Bennett received his Master of Arts degree and his Doctorate from Florida State University.
