As you leave the program of public education in the schools of Pinellas County, I hope for you that you have achieved a realization of what we in our schools have made available to you . . . development of each of you as a person, an offering of preparatory education and training that will stand you in good stead as you continue your study or go into vocational activity, and above all, a preparation to live in this valued heritage, America. I ponder this as I see you leave our schools: have you gained an appreciation of the democratic values we have tried to make available to you? Do you value each individual for his own worth? Do you believe that every idea expressed is worthy of consideration? Do you participate in the development of America? Are you concerned for the good of each and every member of the American society in which you live? I sincerely hope that you will be able to answer YES If such be your answer, Pinellas schools are sound, our plan- ning and work with you have been fully repaid, our desire for a continuing glorious future for the American community is assured.
