mf' It is with unusual pleasure and great pride that we view in retrospect this the first year of the presidency of Michael Bennett. This june marks the first anniversary of the inception of a new era at s St. Pete junior College, an era with a promising future of continued progress and increased good- will. Concrete examples of this progress may be seen in the beautiful two-tone green walls, the new - fri ,st Ry, sf. M. athletic courts, the much-needed re-landscaping and -I the completion of the auditorium. Progress under President Bennett has not been limited, however, to s s material achievements, but is evident also in the N- lbs, -WL' -ra-m.'1g5f yiV5w .4 . sms-'s 'Al . .f cr, ' 4 HQ: N guise of a carefully planned orientation program, a L .5 new policy toward chapel attendance, and non-cen- A sorship of student publications. Michael Bennett's co-operative spirit manifests itself in his unusual interest in student activities and his broad understanding of student problems, his having been a student here only a short while ago. His sincere friendliness permeates the atmosphere of our Trojan Empire and his warm smile promotes the spirit of companionship among teachers and students alike. May nineteen fifty-one always be remem- bered as the first year in a long and successful tenure of office for Mr. Mike, our president. aw Q

V. J 1 :aw FLOYD T. CHRISTIAN The School Year 1950-1951 has been marked by substantial advancement and improvement at the St. Petersburg junior College. I take pride in pointing out to our many friends the fine advancement and educa- tional progress of the college. With your young and energetic President, your capable faculty, and with added plant improvements, I can safely predict continued improve- ment in the educational program. The Superintendent and School Board shall continue to review the phases of growth at the junior College and make plans for an adequate plant that is consistent with the progress and advancement of the college. The educational progress of any institution is a result of continued cooperation between students, faculty, parents, and friends. We have this type of cooperation in our county. It is my sincere wish that each student graduating will continue his loyalty and devotion, and pledge his support in the future to build a bigger and better junior College. '
