The Headmaster Saint Peter's School has reached its present status as one of the finest pre- paratory schools in the East largely through the efforts of Father Frank C. Leeming, S.T.B., its founder and its Headmaster. This year the School has been extremely fortunate in having been able to acquire the McFadden property which is directly adjacent to the property that the School now owns. This is the realization of one of Father's fondest dreams, for it will not only provide facilities for enlarging the School, but it will also consolidate the School on the north side of the Main Street. Father's plans for the immediate future include the remodeling of the Chapel to accommodate the increase in the student body and the construction of a new and larger athletic field. Undoubtedly the acquisition of the new property is a major and important step in the growth of the School. In addition to his duties as teacher and Headmaster, Father Leeming also finds time to direct the Glee Club and the Bishop's Men. Father Leeming is always willing to listen to the problems of the students, and he never refuses aid or advice to any boy at St. Peter's. Many a boy with a pressing problem has found the solution to it after having talked with Father and accepted his cogent and friendly advice. To him We will be forever indebted for guidance through the rules and regulations of Saint Peter's. We are certain that it will be of great value to us in furthering our education and in leading truly Christian lives. To Father Leeming, the Class of '56 expresses its thanks and appreciation for the instructive leadership and kindly friendship given to us during our years at Saint Peter's. 4 THE MITRE
