NA. G. 25 A few familiar faces can be seen among the Peekskill passengers descending the 5:30 train. A group of distinguished gentlemen lingers together, chuckling and joking, until a limousine appears and the men disappear into its leathered interior. This event could have but one meaning: This class of '56 is arriving for its twenty-fifth reunion. At St. Peter's School a portly gentleman in a scotch-plaid jacket greets the incoming cars with a recognizable agility. Mr. William Moulder is a prominent banker who has risen to his present position only through the unfailing help of his wife, Anne. Doctor Bertrand Sprague has gained state-wide recognition through his barn-storming veteranarian practice in Hancock, New Hampshire. Emerging from the same cab as Doctor. Sprague is Mr. Douglas Relyea. Mr. Relyea is an aeronautical engineer and is now chief consultant at Bell Aircraft. Through the tinted windshield can be seen three balding heads. Mr. john Treat and Mr. Thorne Foster are partners in a business firm which is known for its contribution to the women's fashion world. Beside T. F. sits Mr. Edward Frey of Frey Clothing. Mr. Frey manufactures children's togs. Mr. Michael Bendfelt can be seen stepping out of a newly arrived conveyance. Mr. Bendfelt has recently been appointed Ambassador to Land of Nod. After several -successful years as a leading Mahopac lawyer, Mr. Fred Barlow is now running for Mayor of that town. With Mr. Barlow, the austere forms of Mr. Walter Green, Mr. William Case, and Mr. Franklin Howe move on from their taxi into the refreshment room. The literary Mr. Green has seen several of his books published, while Mr. Case is the owner of a southern motel, well-known for its out-of-the-way location. Mr. Howe is a Broadway manager, currently backing the well-known starlet, Miss Mary jane. With the passing of supper and the following speeches, it seems a time to reminisce. Mr. Anthony Kloman is now chairman of the board at Wanamakefs. His short talk flashes back shades of his younger self. Doctor Peter Haritos passes out cigars and announces the birth of his twelfth son. Doctor Haritos is doing well down in Florida with his dock-side dental yacht. Several changes have been made in the school administration. Mr. Dual Macintyre has been appointed business advisor. Mr. Macintyre is the author of the economic best-seller, Saving, Scrimping and Storing. Mr. William Hayes, now a member of the board of trustees, is known for his public-mindedness. Mr. Hayes is kept busy between trips to his brokerage oflice, St. Peter's and the toWn's 'Beautiful Miss contest. A foursome of late-comers is greeted warmly. Mr. Raymond Sharg is known to everyone through his column in that New York newspaper. The Prev. Lamar M. Hill apologizes for being late. It seems he caught his cassock in the train door and struggled on to Poughkeepsie before extricating himself. Mr. james Reyes is greeted with applause, for he has recently been awarded the most cov- eted world prize, The Albert Schweitzer Memorial Trophy. The group is completed with the appearance of Doctor Bruce Crowninshield. Doctor Crown- inshield is the foremost psychologist for women in America. From the distinctive importance that is envinced b this assemblage it can be noted that the class of '56 is the most successful, group that has yet graduated from St. Peter's School. It is hoped that ihose classes following it will strive to attain the heights it has reached. 22 THE MITRE
