The Class of 1956 The Class of 1956 leaves behind it at Saint Peter's a record of which it can be well proud, and one which will be a standard for future Senior Classes. The record of the Class as a scholastic group has been one of the best turned in by any class in Saint Peter's history. In the course of the year approximately two- thirds of the class have attained positions on the School Honor Roll, about half of these being consistently on it. This Senior Class has had one of the finest extra-curricular records in the entire School. Thirteen men were in the Glee Club, and out of the twelve boys in the Bishop's Men, live were members of the Senior Class. The Class contributed heavily to the success of the athletic program, there being ten Seniors figuring prominently in each sport. The man- agers of the Varsity teams were Seniors, and the Gun Club and the Cheerleading Squad owe their success to the Seniors involved. A great part of the work on the Dragnet was done by the Seniors, and the Mitre was written, organized, and put out through the efforts of the Sixth Form. In the plays put on this year at the School, the leading roles were played by Seniors, and the Sixth Formers were largely responsible for the element of continuity evident in these product- ions. The excellence of the School's year, both scholastically and socially, was due in a large measure to the support of the Senior Class. 10 THE MITRE
