JAY-VEE I-'OOTBAH COACH Ed Beetle Susan, in his second year as Jay-Vee coach, fashioned a squad which, facing a tough schedule, gave a good account of itself, winning three, tying two and losing one game for a .750 average. This season was the best the Jay-Vees have had in recent years. Led by the ball-carrying of Bob Thorne and Norm Vliet, and the fighting line play of Ray Curry, Bill Baab and Eddie Letostak, the little Cards downed Metuchen, Highland Park and Dunellen, tied New Brunswick and Perth Amboy, and lost their only game to the strong South River Reserves. Peter's Peter Peter Peter Peter Peter 1 , s Peter' 's S S S S Peter's Peter' Peter' S JAY-VEE BASKETBAZZ THIS YEAR as every year, Coach Eddie O'Rourke directed a fine team com- posed of boys who will be very valuable material for Coach Kreiger next year on the varsity. Although the boys did not break into the winning column too often, they played a good, spirited brand of basketball, losing many tough games by a very slight margin. Coach O'Rourke, who also guided a good Freshman team, is not too in- terested in the result of games won and lost.
