5 L mn.AMl.L.-LJ ...-ul-E X CLASS HISTORY ' FRESHMAN YEAR As shy young freshmen, the class of '51, who represented some city hard fifteen different parishes throughout the surrounding Qf MCKee5P0Tt, entered St. Peter's to begin their long Journey to earn the right to a diploma. After the first few weeks we became acquainted, later we chose the officers of our freshmen class. They were: 12015 Beatrice Goldie, President, Margaret Lacey, Vice-president, Carolyn Hallett, Secretary, and Elizabeth Flynn, Treasurer. Room 202 chose Richard Dolan, President, Bernice Thomas, Vice-president, Maureen Ryan, Secretary, and Charles McCaslin, Treasurer: Terror reigned in the hearts of the freshies as the ini- tiation by the sophomores took its toll, but our fears were diminished by the invitation to our first social held by the 1 W A 1 sophomores at Renziehausen Park. The Christmas Cantata was 5 ,.. 1 hardly over before mid-year exams were upon us and all atten- 2 tion was turned to study. The sportsminded students showed H their ability by participation in the intramural basketball league. Then came the Easter vacation, which was soon fol- Q lowed by the campaign to raise money for the senior operetta, Q with the freshmen vying with the upper classmen to receive Q the promised reward of a half holiday. A The final struggle of exams arrived and passed with the M results that we no longer were silly freshies but sophisti- Q cated sophomores. u y SOPHOMORE YEAR Q The three summer months passed very swiftly, once again Q1 we returned to study and hard this year, was This was a year of do the initiating while The party we later held Free Library on October time and energy we felt good old St. Peter's High for another year of work. Durin the course of the year we attended the skates and B dances which were held by the Juniors and Sengois in grdEga2O promote the prom. These socials always prove o e E deal of fun. 1 d'n events of our Sophomore year was the Sggiogffgggwgigcdgnce? At this dance the ideal girl and boy from each class was chosen.
