In 1929-just a year before his Silver Jubilee in the Priesthood at the request of Cardinal Dougherty, Father Reing undertook the opening of a four-year accredited high school in St. Peter's School which, for sev- eral years prior to that year, had pro- vided a two-year commercial course for the children of St. Peter's and the surrounding parishes.
