St. Peter High School 1973 PETERIAN Co-Editors: Ronda Tungsuik Connie Voigt SENIORS It's hard to believe that we were once totally dependent on someone else to feed us and to take care of us. And it was such a fantastic accomplishment when we took those first few steps on that wobbly floor. In a way it’s like that right now-- taking our first uncertain steps into that big unsteady world. Our sandbox and finger painting days are gone now--but somehow they’ll never be forgotten, will they? And sometimes you sit and wonder how clubs and secret codes could ever have meant that much to your existence. Then you came up to the big high school-- getting lost in it's scary halls and trampled by the big kids. But it was still very important to you and you were proud to be a part of it, even though you didn't know why. Now you sit and look at the graduation pictures of all your friends and you wonder what happened to the years in between. There isn't any way to make time stand still, now you just have to let it slip by and hang onto all the memories you can. 4 'SPIRIT' Somehow, the spirit found in a school is always the same. Day after day, year after year, generation after generation. Though things may be different, nothing really ever changes. The spirit of joy always finds smiling faces, friendly greetings, and contagious laughter, The spirit of friendship still finds an encouraging voice, an understanding heart and an ear always ready to listen. SPIRIT The spirit of mischief continually finds stuffing the bell, skipping classes and long hours in detention. The spirit of anticipation will always find nervous glances at the clock, counting the years, days, hours and finally minutes. --Pam Garver HOMECOMING “ Horrify Hutch’’ Homecoming...
