7 4 7 5 School Year Shows Dedication in All Events The 1.974-75 school year began rather slow andsuncertain for St. Paul Highp for with a new principal, new pastor 'and new head football coach, many things had changed. However, determination and co- operation took over to make it a very successful year. 'Sports sort of reflectedfthe over-all success of the year which included Fire- lands Conference championships 'in foot- ball, and for the first time ever in Flyer history, in basketball and golf. Athletics proved'to foster the competitive spirit of the school, enabling us to overcome the problems faced throughout the year. This year meant many different things to different people. For the seniors, it was their last year ofhigh school, and they are sure to miss all the goodltimes they've had. The classiof '76 finished their last year as underclassm en and prepare to as- sume the responsibilities of ileading the rest of the student body. The-Isophomores grew in knowledge, the freshmen found out what high school life was all about. Together with a dedicated and friendly faculty, we all had a very good year. . . , Bill Kacmarsky . . . oil On Thursday morning, October 10, SPH students had their spirits for a Thursday night bonfire dimmed, when their bonfire was burned early. How- ever, seniors worked all day rebuilding 'for the 'o ous affair that ni ht .I V 9 - Following the successful bonfire on Thursday, the student council sponsored a 1950 sock hop in the St. Paul's social hall. All of the student body partici- pated by rocking the night away with the nostalgia beat of Bill Hailey and the Comets. The highlight of the homecoming activities was during the sock hop when some of the varsity football players painted the goalposts at Whitney Field the colors of the school: red, white, and black. This was just part of the high spirits celebrated this week in preparation for the big game with Nlapleton on Saturday night. Starting off Saturday night was a parade through downtown Norwalk to Whitney Field, with the police-escorted Flyer bus following close behind. The night was saddened with the Flyers only loss of the season to much improved Nlapleton squad. Nevertheless, spirits were raised as ,much merriment was celebrated Sun- day night at the homecoming dance titled' Days of Future Past. 10 Introduction
