Led by Sister Mary Giovanni it does many things to better understand the French culture. Before Lent they held a Mardi Gras where they held their coronation, feasted, and mady-merry. This year the Frenc Club is planning a four-day trip to french Canada. h Aj Gene Bick and Dave Bleile participate in a Bon Voyage for Margaret Dempsey, a French II student headed for Europe. BJ Freshmen Tom Meyers and Marilyn J. Fisher reign over Mardi Gras activities in French I. CJ Kam Arnato and Mary Ann Dible watch Mardi Gras activities. The St. Paul Band continued to supply musical enj oytnent under the direction of Mr. Robert West- cott who is in his first year at St. Paul's. Band is a class as well as an activity. Students take lessons during their study halls and practice after school. The Marching Brass entertains at every football game, supplying pop music for ha1f..time crowds, Pep Band adds zest and enthusiasm to pep rallys while Concert Band offers a more serious form of music. Band members are also in- volved in extra-curricu1ar ac- tivities. Some of the students attended the District Il Festival at Bellvue and others traveled to the Music Festival at Delaware , Ohio. The Music Department at St. Pauls strives to mold enj oy- ment and musical achievements through its band programs. Members learn the inportance of a good performance and an appreciation of music. A.
