Mr. T. H. E. Jones, Dean of College ' Dean’s Message Dear Graduate: I take this opportunity to congratulate you on the successful completion of your college work. I want you to know though, that graduation is com¬ mencement, and that commencing anything means to begin. This means that although you have your degree, you have not finished your education. You must, if you hope to make the contribution for which you have the potential, continue your preparation. You are being graduated during a very confused period in American life. America can and will pull out of this confusion if you assume the re¬ sponsibility for sane leadership. To do anything less would violate the pur¬ poses for which your college stands, and this I do not expect of you. Keep in touch with your college. Write for counsel and guidance. Re¬ turn to the campus as often as possible, and support it with your means and with your influence.
