Miss Welander During the year Donald Stankie moved to St. Paul, so we elected Floyd Hunter as the new Student Council member. Ruth Sward was the Freshmen Candidate for Queen of the Winter Carnival. The big event of the year was a party at the gymna- slum. In the tenth grade we were much wiser. That year most of us took biology. Remem- ber the nine cats we cut up? Eunice Doville Student Council Member .......... -- ------------------- Norman Holmes Class Adviser' ........... Miss Zieske Bette Mae Hall was our candidate for the Carnival Queen. This year the big event was our initiation. The girls dressed in old house dresses. They had to wash their hair the night before and couldn't comb it out the next day. High heels and colored anklets were worn on their feet. No make-up was allowed. The boys wore earrings with their hair greased and parted in the middle. They had to wear make-up, short pants above their knees, half socks, and no shoes. Each one of us had to Wear a sign with a silly say- ing on it. Cute, weren't we? In the latter part of the year we gave a Return Party for the seniors. The class officers for the Eleventh Grade Were I President ....... ---- Fred Brandes, Vice President .........
