We fcul it was :1 great honor to now be a part of this same group of fine people who have exerted a great in- flncncc 0n 11x and our community. Enclosed within the walls are many memories of students like 1.1.x who have traverscd the same paths we have trod. DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of 1967 feel it is a great honor to dedicate this page of our anh nual to the memory of Wilma Paulette Chase, who suffered death by accident on January 23, 1967. She was in the 8th grade graduating class and is greatly missed by her Classmates. We sincerely regret that Paulette is no longer a student of St. Paul High School, but our memories of her will remain with each of us. We are proud to know that she had many good times with us. It is our sincere wish that this dedication be a part of our BLASTER for 1967. SEN I 0R5 Nmira l.gw lhilv; P11111 Davii 1'3; ' Jxmw Siiilmz 1 Ihoolb Ddrn l livid! 131ml Rm! Amox szw :.x1'1:.' The Raiders had a mighty tough time of it as they trailed 12-9 at the end of the first peri- od and 20-15 at the half. Things looked even worse going into- the third period as the Blasters? took an even bigger margin 27-: 17, in less than three minutesn but suddenly went cold and: scored only two more points, while the Raiders dropped in; 21 before the horn brought the rally to a close. The grand finale came Fri-t day night before a capacity ctuwd in the St. Paul gymna- sxum where a determined Blas- ter crew almost turned the tables on the Clarksburg Raid- ers, who finally came through to win 47-46. Coach Bob MitchelPs St. Paul2 netters ugave it all they hadI for former St. Paul p1ayers,i managers and cheerieaders,l I who were guests of the school for the final game of their alma1 mater. The Blasterst record is just the It's hard to explain how a club that gets beat 120-67 the night before can come back to upset a good club but it happened at St. Paul Saturday night as the Blasters surprised Milroy, 61-56. Led by 6-4 center Hal Pike. the Blasters of Coach Bob Mitchell made up a 51-48 deficit twith four minutes to play, and built a 59-49 lead with 1:54 on the clock when Milroy, which had upset Rush County champ Carthage the night before while the Blasters were thrashed at New Palestine, put in an entire- ly new line-up. Pike had 28 points for the game, and 14 of them came in the last quarter. Besides shoot- ing, Pike dominated the boards in the final period and blocked two shots. Coach Mitchell said Milruy pressed his club in the closing period and the Blasters w er e able to find Pike open. Neither club was much more than warm from the field, and the rebounding battle was a 42- all standoff although Pike hauled in 17 for the Blasters.
