Dear Father Gallagher. On behalf of the Student Body. I would like to welcome you to our St. Paul family. We were all surprised, yet delighted with your addition to the St. Paul community. Your warmth and friendliness has been felt by everyone. Your eagerness and willingness in continuance of unity and tradition is shared by all. St. Paul is very lucky in acquiring such a note-worthy person as you. an individual who with the rest of the student body, voluntarily shares with us the meaning of the school year, tradition, and our future goals. The 1986-87 year represents something more than just an ordinary school year to the senior class. Though this marks the end of some memorable four years, it is time for you to begin anew era along with the classes to follow. But it is now under your leadership and guid- ance, that we ' ve all had or have the opportunity of enhancing our education both academically and spiritually You have also helped us to understand and serve the needs of others, recognize the impor- tance of co-curricular activities, and foster discipline, which are all important elements to our school philosophy More so. you have made this year a success with your willingness and active coopera- tion to not only help one group or class, but every individual student Here we see your dedication and contribution in making the St. Paul community as one family. Tradition is defined as the handing down of knowledge, beliefs, and customs from one generation to another. Tradition has always been greatly looked to over the past years. St. Paul values it ' s beliefs and principles. You have not only achieved in continuing our funda- mental traditions, but in refining and initiating others as well. Ylay you continue in upholding and upgrading the prestige given to St. Paul traditions. Anew school year will approach quickly. You will face new people, new ideas, and new challenges. We all thank you for sharing yourself with us in every possible way. And as I speak for the graduating class of 1987, we thank you for your contribution in completing four truly memorable years at St. Paul. We are all honored that you accepted the challenge of not only becoming our school principal, but our leader and friend as well. It was a great honor to work with such a unique individual as you. I leave you with many thanks and best of luck always. Sincerely yours, Alex Flares A SB President l.
