Team Receives :The performing squad l consists of many teams, three of which are the Ma- jorettemthe Banner girls, and a new addi- tion, lfhe Drill Team. Their dedication and effort, as strong as any other squad, paid offllinfcompetitlon and all school perfor- mances. e , The Majorettes started the year with one returningmember and two newcom- ers who handled the job excellently. To- gether, with lsoloisi Penny Garcia, they once again performed outstandingiy at Homecoming, withtheir traditional fire- batonf routinel. l l r ' The Banner girls, in their second year, along with the new Drill Team blended in wonderfully with all the squads due to their dedication and excellent perfor- mances. Congratulations to our fairly new squads who are keeping the St. Paul trae dition of hard work and excellence. A Chance To Be Part Of Th School Flagsters, Tall Flags, and the Dance Team were important parts of the Per- forming Squad. Each team started the year with high expectations and settled for nothing less. Each of them was faced with challenges throughout the year, yet successfully overcame those challenges. Their successes were attributed to their ambition and hard work. When flagster Lisa Diaz was asked why she had wanted to join the squad knowing it would in- volve hard work and long hours, she said that it would give her an opportunity to show that she was a part of the school. Undoubtedly, all of the performing squads are an integral part of the St. Paul community. Wendy Lacko, Celine Chabot, Ann McCann, and Lori Hegnandez are showing us the talent use.. to win first place at camp. d-if gg i F DeeDee Bates and Kathy Marron are demonstrating front and profile pic- tures. Wendy Lacko and Ellen Licata are very excited about their new tall flag poles. Linda Solorza is rejoicing because there are no more burritos. 15 S St, Paul flagsters are having so much fun together, What could be so fun- ny? Perhaps the Fountain Valley football players? tittiit i f ' . s - Eff r .A 1 - xr? 2 . as 'N -1 tttt fi vi i
