Students were appointed to monitor the halls and enforce school regula- tions. Regulations included no talk- ing, no going to lockers between classes, and keeping to the right in the halls. Often, we felt our school rules today were prohibiting. The following are some more of these regulations from the past. -Girls had to wear chapel veils in church but were not allowed to wear eyesha- dow, hair pieces, ratted hairdos, or en- gagement rings. -All report cards had to be signed by a parent and turned in to the office. -Students could only go to their lockers before school, during lunch and after school. -The principal had to be notified of all off campus parties. -lmmediate expulsion occurred if a stu- dent was caught using someone else's locker, riding in a car with boys and girls without a car pass, or going steady. -A certain door had to be used for enter- ing and leaving each class. rl!!!
