We Grow Through Change -QA! Many changes were evidenced as stu- dents and faculty returned from summer vacation. A major change was the forty- five minute lunch which enabled the en' tire school to enjoy lunch during fifth pe' riod. This caused longer lunch lines and crowds in popular eating areas. To han- dle the increased crowds at lunch, new trash cans and tables were purchased and another senior quad was established. It was also necessary to shorten the pre- vious twenty minute break by five min- utes and lengthen the school day by ten minutes. Other changes were soon apparent. Lockers, poles and awnings were painted browng what was the study hall was car- peted, filled with various business ma- chines and is now known as the business lab. Changes affecting students on a more personal level included new test formats used in conjunction with a scan-tron ma- chine, and increased prices at the snack bar. Students realized the xerox machine was no longer available for their use and soon adjusted to the fact that they would be sent home to change if they did not meet dress code regulations. These changes, however, are insignifi- cant when the overall picture is viewed. New students and faculty come to St. Paul yearly. How these people influenced our lives is of major importance. Their fresh ideas and high ideals, coupled with the experience and knowledge of those returning, provided encouragement and wisdom in meeting the challenges inevita- ble with change. Feelings, attitudes and friendships changed-sometimes for the better, which made us happy, sometimes for the worse, which made us grow. What was previously known as the study hall is now a very active busi- ness lab.
