Bishop Moreno and campus priests at Guadalupe Mass. Blessing of the mosaic. iOle, Ole! The Spanish Club this year, headed by Sr. Therese Ma- rie, was made up of people getting involved in Spanish backgrounds. They accomplished their main goal, having the mural of Guadalupe completed, so that all the Hispan- ic-Americans and others could appreciate the beauty of the Mexican faith. In celebration of the completed work, Bish- op Moreno came to the school and a special mass was held. The fund-raisers for this goal were: Sponsering the De- cember dance. See ' s Sucker sales, bake sales, and more. This club was a great asset for those interested in enriching the Hispanic culture at S.P. Ellen. Jeanne, and Jim present the offerings. C.A.M. Accomplishes Goals In Service Work Under Fr. Curry ' s direction, the Christian Action Move- ment began its second year. The group ' s purpose was to do Christian Service within and outside school. Together the members helped co-ordinate the campus masses held on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and various other special occa- sions. They also worked as organizers and homeroom repre- sentatives during the successful Thanksgiving food drive, where over 40 boxes of food and $600 were collected for the local organizations serving the poor. In the future, club members hope to get involved in more community service projects. Readers preparing for the mass. Thanksgiving mass in progress C.A.M. 21
