Disco Epidemic Hits St. Paul! Keeping up with the newest trends, St. Paul High featured a disco club. With Debbie Tapia, a senior, and Mrs. McCracicen, the club boogied off to a great start. They met twice a month on Fridays afters- chool — if you were lucky, some- times you ' d catch some members practicing in the bathroom! Parents energetically gave their support to St. Paul ' s this year. They volunteered their time to help in all phases of St. Paul Life. Fund-raising plans included the annual International Dinner and an Art Auction. This year, the club was headed by Frank Curran, with There- sa Gunther and Cainille Flores as 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents. Parents are as enthused as students Boosters Do It Again! With continuous encouragement, the Boosters undertook the responsibility of supporting our athletic department. As always, they helped our sports activities remain safe and order- ly. They once again sponsored the Varsity Football Awards Banquet. We want to thank the Boosters who stand out proud- ly at our games in their white jackets embossed with Sammy Swordsmen — THANKS!! Below; The final bowl. Bowlers Go On Strike! Headed by our own Mrs. Par- edes with the help of student di- rector Larry Carlin, this year ' s bowling club showed a lot of po- tential. With every weekly meet- ing, the members bowled in a league with four people to a team. With the goal of gaining the title of league champions, they bowled to win weekly trophies.
