After success- fully completing their probation- ary period, the Sophomores re- ceive a medal of Our Lady signi- fying their devotion and love to her. ROSARY DAY October, the month of the Rosary, marks the annual Rosary Day sponsored by the Sodality. Sodalists form a living rosary while the entire Student Body re- cites it, By this impressive cere- mony the students' love and de- votion to Mary through the rosary is strengthened.

Vickie Ferguson lleftl gives speech welcoming the Sopho- more girls into the Junior- Senior Sodcllity on the day of their acceptance. TO JESUS THROUGH MARY The motto of the Sodality, the most im- portant spiritual organization on campus, is followed by personal sanctification, sancti- tication of others, and a readiness to defend the Church from attacks by its enemies. St. Paul Sodalists engage in teaching Catechism, visiting the Marydale Orphanage, helping at the Metropolitan State Hospital, and con- tributing tothe missions. SENIOR SODALITY: ll-rl, Charles Puglia, Manuel Pasillas, Ron Rocha, Frank Fagan, Doug Hotchkiss-Prefect, Brother Paulinus-Moderator, Pat Macrorie, Charles Chiodo, Roger Andrus, Dave Cline, and John Walters. One of the accomplishments of the Sodality is providing and maintaining the pamphlet rack in chapel. FRESHMAN SODALITY Under the direction of Brother Nich- olas the boys held their installation of officers in the chapel. Receiving offices were: Dave Wargo - President, Len Avila - Vice-president, Jim Diaz - Secretary. 28 SENIOR SODALITY Fostering in its members an ardent devo- tion, reverence and filial love to the Blessed Virgin Mary, is the aim of this organization. The sodalist is made to realize that as a mem- ber of the Mystical Body of Christ, he has a real vocation in the Church to be an Intelli- gent Fighter for the Church in her Social Apostolate. Another aim of the Sodality is to fit the members for a better way of life in school and for later life in whatever degree they may be called to work in and for Christ's Mystical Body.
