Standing upon the threshold of a sin-cursed world, We wait the instant when Thy guiding hand Shall lead us forth to see the scroll unfurled, Wherein Thou hast recorded Thy command. Behind us lie our three short years of training: Ahead-there stretches all Eternity. We face it unafraid and uncomplaining-- The way is bright: our faith looks up to Thee. Lead us in blood-stained pathways, where Another. With pierced feet and hands, has gone before: Lead us where we may help a fallen brother To find his balance on the Rock once more. We wait Thy will, but labor while we're waiting: The harvest fields are white-Thy blessed,Son' Left us a task: while others are debating. We garner sheaves--we seek Thy praise: Well done! -Lynn W. We were called by Christ Himself, from the narrow lanes of lite, to be fashioned, moulded, and trained for labor in His great fields of service. Three years we have walked together down the long corridor oi mutual interests, choosing and opening doors of training, delving into nooks and-corners of practical experiences, ex- ploring spiritual attics, and peering through hazy windows seeking to glimpse a panoramic View of our future ministry-motivated by one burning desire: to see Him, to know Him, and to serve Him. Each day the students gather for a half hour of prayer devoted to missionary needs. Missionary Prayer Bands, of which there are six, meet each Sunday after- noon, at which time we intercede for the missionaries ot the respective fields and plead for the benighted souls for whom they are responsible. We look forward with great anticipation to the Friday evening missionary meet- ings. which are prayerfully arranged by the Missionary Society. At these meetings we have the privilege of listening to many of God's servants from the fields, and we are again reminded .of the whitened harvest. It has been during these programs that many students have been called of God to a lifetime of foreign ministry. The highlight of the school year is the Student Missionary Convocation. On the evening of December 5th we were presented with the Challenge of the Spirit Led Life in relation to the opening of the various mission fields by Spirit-led men of God. Surely with such influences during our days of training, it is almost impossible to leave these halls without a missionary vision. As we lift our eyes and look on the whitened fields, may we have the compassion of the Master and, realizing that the time for reaping is short, may we truly occupy till He comes. Gordon Skitch of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Old-fashioned scenes of melting up, confession and restitution characterized the chapel convocatrons and evening meetings held each .ti day. Such scenes, undoubtedly, had never been wi nessed before by any of the student body, and with- out question this time of refreshing will go down in the minds of many as the outstanding experience of their Christian lives. , ,I I , 2 'f l Jv1.,m.4-4...Qlf.Ja? .
