W? fanllZ'gJ SAINT PATRICKlS CHURCH P. 0. BOX 167 LARGO, FLORIDA 33540 June 1972 My dear Students: Another school year has come to a close and all of you have advanced a year closer to your goal in life. The old axiom, time flies , can be used here in this case. We must always keep in mind that the real purpose of education is to achieve maturity. Our Sisters and Lay-Teachers at St. Patrick's School are here to give all our students the best type of foundation to help to achieve this maturity and to help you to better serve God, Church and State. Day after day, year after year more of an emphasis is being placed on education. Without a good education it is very difficult to progress along the road of life. Therefore, in order to be successful in life we must have a good and wholesome education. Each of us as creatures of God have been given a certain number of talents. God expects us to use these talents to the best of our ability. If we do, then success is ours in life. Life was never meant to be easy and so you will find obstacles being placed in your way. obstacles that you must overcome, obstacles that you will overcome with the proper use of your God-given talents. I wish at this time to congratulate all those who are graduating this year from St. Patrick's School and wish them great success in the years to come. If we can be of any help to them in the future we hope that they will not hesitate to ask us. I would also at this time like to thank the Faculty of St. Patrick's School, both Sisters and Lay-Teachers, headed by our very competent Principal, Sister Mary Lucia. They are truly dedicated teachers. Sincere thanks also to the members of our Mother's Club, who have worked tirelessly for the good and progress of St. Patrick's School. May all of our Faculty and Students have a very happy and safe summer. We are looking foreward to seeing all of you in September and of welcoming our new students, especially those who will be entering the First Grade. May God Bless You. Are you held with a golden string, Or is it some other magical thing? God's House Rachelle Disbennett I know that God is everywhere and all about us, like the air! God lives in Heaven, away up high, above the earth, air, and sky. To share our little joys and tears, He lived on earth for many years. In every Mass he comes again; His joy is still to dwell with men. And when I go to Church, he's there, He says it's His House of Prayer. God lives in every soul of Grace, and makes of it a Holy place; Within my heart, though none can see, Lives God, He's at home with me! Jean Federico Where is God? Where is God? We plead with God for war to cease We ask him for a lasting peace Man must work to earn release And so the war goes on. Kathy Shea l usn M6016 PWTOS By BOB M00 Number One Through the season we had come, to try to prove we were number one. As our last game rolled around, the game was close, but we were down. Number One was our victory cry, we had to come back; we had to try. All through the year we'd won the games from Holy Family to Holy Name. We came back to tie the game, but many teams had done the same. The game was over; and Berkley came through, we hate to think we were number two. But still I think that we can beat, any team, any week. 10 and 0 in season play xx could not be better any day. The girls and Coit and all the fans, who helped and cheered for every man, we'd like to thank them all, indeed, without them we would never be. It was great, and it was fun, and we're indeed, Number One.
