Marian4 Meetings THE MARIAN CLUB The Marian Club, an organization to promote Catholic Action in honor of the Blessed Virgin, was instituted in the fall of 1951. The officers, elected by the student body, are chosen from the two upper classes. Counsellors represent both the Sophomore and Freshmen classes. Each of the high school grades con- stitutes a committee Seniors-Mission Committee juniors-Liturgical Committee Sophomores-Literary Committee Freshmen-Social Action Committee Monthly meetings open with a hymn and a minute meditation. There are speakers on various topics, and projects for the month are announced. The 1954-1955 ofiicers of the Marian Club are: President-Patrick McMahon, Senior Vice-President-Barbara White, junior Secretary-Arlene Murphy, Senior Treasurer-William Carden, junior Arlene Murphy Our first Marian Club meet- ing this year was presitletl oxer by the president, Patrick Mt'- Mahon. Shrines honoring Mary xxere discussed by representa- tixes of the sarious classes.
