HAMTON arf, 4: is 4 'X I 4 if 'Y I O D e d 1 c cz t 1 0 n To Mary, Queen of the Universe, we dedicate our yearbook in honor of her , ' time on May 51, 1955. To Mary we Come when in need or in trouble, then she as our queen and counselor, is always willing to help us in the solution of our proh- lems. Her heavenly reign is endless. Through her alone can we reach her Son, the King, and only she can lead us through our wanderings to our celestial home. Hail holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope .... K 7 Y Prologue . . . a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars. - In adopting this quotation from the twelfth chapter of St. john's Apocalypse as the theme of our yearbook, we have interpreted the woman as representing Mary clothed with the sun, that is, with the radiant beams of God's grace and love, in full command of the temporal things signified by the moon beneath her feet, and her head surrounded by a coronet of knowledge and wisdom. We have further thought of the sun, moon, and stars as symbolizing Religion, Activities and Education respectively, into which three sections our book is divided. -I f ,f 1 ya fix' Q J 1 4 A ,Y .i B! XX'e feel, however, that he did a Hne job by bringing his team to several victories, .the most important of which was a twenty-four point win over St. Anthony's, who was then leading the western division. St. Pat's swept through this division winning four out of six games, bowing only to St. james' and St. Ambrose's. Other bright spots were two victories over St. Mary's 0 . XVe owe a debt to all who have taught us to do what we know is right. It is they who have prepared us to be good citizens of earth and future inhabitants of heaven. To our parents, faithful and sacrificing, we are ever indebted for their patient guidance and we ask their blessing on our future. The priests lb-nl - 'lm ciation we thank for their spiritual inspiration and holy example which we will strive to follow. lNIost of all we thank you, Sisters of St. joseph, for your untiring efforts to lead us by example and teach- ing to the throne of God.
