CLASS HISTORY ACT I Year 1949 Place St Patrick School The first few days as high school students held fears for all of us As the year progressed these were soon dispersed We were caught up 1n the whirl of choosing our own subjects starting our basketball team the Shamrocks and running our own socials and dances Our first Halloween and Christmas dances stand out in our memory Remember all the tickets we printed ourselves for these events' Robert Lapointe was certainly the perfect Santa Claus as he and Chummy visited the lower classes Typing seemed to mark our progress through the year for all too soon we could type without looking at the keys That heralded June which means one thing vacation ACT II Year 1950 Place St Patrick High School This September brought us up to the high school What fun we had 1n1t1at1ng the Freshmen' Our basketball team earned their glory with a record of only one loss at the end of the season Dances were more frequent much to our delight' Some of our boys discovered hidden culinary talents as they Joined up to a cooking class Our first May Ball and Athletic Banquet brought our Sophomore year to a close ACT III Same place but one year later Juniors we whispered it a little in awe of what it really meant so St Pat s or was it a privilege' Who really walked the most that day? They all enjoyed the fashion show we staged for them Hollywood is really missing something Varsity basketball this year our record was promising for next year The first Gala Day was held that March we had as much fun with the water pistols and darts as the youngsters did Spring brought out the baseballs and sharp new suits and decorating the gym for the Junior Prom June and exams and then vacation ACT IV St Pat s our last year Our Senior year It seemed as if it would never come But now that it 1S here we are not too sure we liked to see it go by The Inaugural Ball was the opener of our social events This year the school was renovated and we had classes in the new part The team had a good record and won a bid to the NHIAA tourney Our first yearbook went off to press cards and invitations were ordered caps and gowns were measured and then Graduation The great day looked forward to for years but there is a touch of sadness We wish to thank our parents Monsignor Walsh Father Greene and Father Milne and the Sisters of Mercy wlthout whom this day would not be possible . . . , . , , . . - . . . . . , this year, too, we had the privilege of again initiating the newcomers to , . . . . , . , I , 1 - I . , .
