QlNl ' LAW STUDENTS di4cu 'ome hase of so- BUL .bfi . :N :yn :X p tial insurance with the aid of Mr. Triptow. Theodore, Anthony, H. Mark, f. lohn, and Gil' bert, Mr. Al Brennan and Mr. Andy Kovac. We went areat auns in our sophomore year. A sophomore class was first in the New World drive, intramural basketball champs, and third in the Auxiliary Drive. Our loss was the Christian Brothers gain ar: Paul Beneky left St. Pats and went down to Gleneoe. Third year, juniors and upperclassmen. We welcomed six new Brothers as six left. Brothers Fabian and Anthony were the only ones promoted with us. We then welcomed Brothers Patrick, Philip, loel S. and Conrad. Brother L. Paul succeeded Brother l. Mark as principal, and Brother H. Mark succeeded Brother Leander as assistant principal. Brother Conrad built up some fans by start- ina a bowlina leaaue. The teams bowled on Monday and Wednesday at Franklin Lanes. At the end of the year, trophies and medals were aiven. From the way thinas looked, lolm ltussell aot most of them. We were really tops that year. Half of the Auxiliary winners were in the junior depart' ment. We had IB fellows on the semester honor roll, and l5 with perfect attendance. Little did we know that the class araduatina was to be the last one to araduate from the old school. We found out before the end of the year, and it hit us rather hard. More exams to worry about, but we manf aaed to survive them, and in the fall we would be the boss of the school, second only to the Brothers. SlfNlOBSf The time has come to start thinkina about our future. We lost 53 of the boys who started with us in the Freshman year. We only have lflff in the araduatina class. St. Mel let us move in with them. Eleven teachers left, while two new ones came. Brother Michael, Brother Patricks brother, and Brother Alfred came to help make men out of the boys. GETTING BOOKS FROM THEIR LOCKERS before clas are larosz, Bezek, Partipilo, Considine, and Notariano Brother lohn C., a famous landmark at St. Pats, left us. We had a new aroup of teachers headf ina us. Brothers l, Michael, K. Gilbert, loel S., Alfred, Conrad, and Mr. Triptow. With our senior year we inauaurated new hours, l:3U to 5130. We cut out the favorite periods of all students f -lunch, study, and ayin. We dropped football, bowling, and intramurals. We were on our own now. As seniors, the work was just to beain. Take ina over the dances, school paper, year book, and advisina the underclassmen as to the aood and bad points of different thinas fBrothersl. We are in the lecture staae . . . talks from different colleaes, marriaae talks, and the talks in the hall between periods. This is the first year that the student chanaed classes while the Brother stayed in the same room. A aroup of us seniors spent a week end up at St. Marys. We had a swell time. The Brothers and boys of St. Mary's treated us cor- dially. Their friendliness prompted us to ask questions, to which we aot elear answers, A lot of events came up. We posed for pictures, aot our araduation rinas, aot meas ured for araduation aowns and tuxes for the prom, worried about where we were aoina to dia up the money and aet a car to ao to the prom. That about takes care of the past four years, which makes us wish we were freshmen aaain so we wouldn't have to leave St, Pats Now comes a touah time. We have one of three decisions to make. Either ao to a aood colleae, earn a living, or ao to Korea Tech. lt would really be nice, if in 15 or ZU years, we held a class reunion and lU5 successful bust ness and professional men showed up. The Seniors of lQ53 PS. Perpetual aratitude should be rendered to the aood Brothers who endowed us with an inf destructible foundation on which to build a success. 9
