MANLY MAN Have you ever wondered just exactly what the ideal male would be like? During my years at St. Patrick's I have come in contact with some swell fellows, each one prominent in my mind as possessing an outstanding quality for which I admire him. I f it were possible to infuse into one man these separate virtues, I would have my manly man. Let us name this fictitious character BRAD. First of all, Brad would have to be as willing to go out of his way for others as Roman Ropella goes. Roman is in the habit of attending all out-of-town games. He knows that I work after school, but even if it makes him late, Roman always waits for me. This fellow would have to be as willing to admit he was wrong, as Torn Connelly admits. Brad would also have to possess a great deal of respect for girls. He must be, as A. I. N owoj is, willing to keep his vocabu- lary free from cuss words and vulgarity around girls. Brad would have to be as humble as an old teacher friend, Father Francis 0'Neil.
