PATRICK N. BUTLER.................Appleton, Wis. To have known him is to have known a student of real worth, for he was that in every respect. True, the goods of the world were not equally distributed among all men. but Nature has been generous in bestowing her best gifts upon him, namely, industry, honesty and sociability. With these he is preparing himself for a broader field of action and the attainment of the most noble aspirations. Surrounded by a host of friends, yet. serious in action, yet. appreciative of wit and humor he is sure to go through life, a credit to his school and to his fellow citizens, a model not for admiration only, but also for imitation. A soul with every virtue fraught. By patriots, priests and poets taught. FRANCIS H. CLABOTS New Frankcn, Wis. Some seven years ago, the Director of Studies was heard to say. I wish we had more students like Clabots. Know ing that at some future date such a statement would be valuable, we jotted it down in our notebook and hence, you have it now. In our estimation the above quoted statement contains much more information about llarry than an entire page of poetical phrases and hyperbolical encomiums. All during his college days he has been a zealous student, a loyal friend, and a perfect gentleman. 1 1c is now pursuing his studies at the St. Norbert's Seminary, and we feel that anyone of his character and abilities cannot but be successful in his undertakings. At any rate we wish him happiness and good fortune in his vocation. Thus nobly rising in fair virtues cause. From thy own life, Transcribe the unerring clause.
