From celestial halls God s angel calls— All that live must die.' Wc mortals wait the call of Fate, Our summons from the sky. From death's hitter cup we kneel to sup. And shed a mortal tear; The shrouded cover has claimed a brother, One to us most dear. The chapel bell his dirge did knell. Wc students bow in sorrow. This mass of clay, this mite to-day, A saint with God to-morrow. We bless the turf of mother earth. Where he was laid to rest, His work in class, his prayers at Mass, Did herald him the best. In peace may he sleep, in the breast of the deep. And rewarded his earthly affliction In eternal transition, may his life elysian, crowned with God's benediction. D. F. H. From among the joys of school year life A lad was chosen from our side, For he was taken from this earthly strife. With God in heaven to abide. I le was a friend to those he knew A help to those who sought his aid There was no youth with heart so true Or holy virtues so displayed.
