Her ability to laugh and her sense of humor are always welcome in the midst of a crowd. Her classmates recognize her as a friend in whom they can confide. Wonderfully skilled in both writing and acting, joan also possesses a great sense of humor and an infectuous laugh. Able to undertake almost anything, Joan has entered into a number of school activities and has won the approval not only of her classmates but also of the faculty and under- classmen. After graduation joan will enter Fordham College and begin in earnest her pursuit of a dramatic career. We wish her good luck and feel confident that she will rise quickly to success. I' Mak JUNIOR xg. 1947-50 tafogy man, no less! Tolly was really on her way in '49. An upperclass- She had just had to get a new uniform and she l fl ,-4 Miss Tolly Senior was the big boss in the school. She was proud of the sparkling ring on her finger. She was looked up to by the freshmen. She had that grown up look and lived up to it. Tolly was going out into 'the adult world in a short :ime and consciously or not, she. was preparing her- self by working part time and taking on responsi- bility. She went steady with a dreamy fellow and dreamed of a dreamy Prom. She wondered what color gown to get, pink, white, maize? No matter which, it was Jeautiful and so was Tolly on that big night. Tolly worried about what she would do after grad- uation. She wrote away for catalogs, visited schools Jf all kinds, filled out applications, made big de- :isions. We wish her success in whatever she does. managed to dress it up quite a bit. She added a dif- ferent belt, turned up the collar of her blouse and pinned it with a cute scatter pin. Of course, the ox- fords did not add to her glamour but Tolly added plaid shoe-laces and changed the dumb shoes as soon as she reached the locker room. School work had her a little worried. Those four regents loomed on the horizon, but Tolly jumped into the fray and managed to defeat the four horse- men. Tolly's freckles were disappearing and her figure was improving. Behind her sparkling eyes there lurks a sense of humor and wit, coupled with a serious determination to succeed in all her undertakings.
