MISS LIDGATE Sponsor Junior Class History Continuing with the same enthusiasm and spirit of their first two years in high school, the class of 1960 made their junior year a great success. They began with a Hallowe'en Tea honoring Mrs. Mates and followed up with two projects to increase their class treasury-the ski fashion show and the car wash. Their rous- ing class spirit helped them to win the volley- ball cup for their second straight year, along with the much coveted basketball championship, and they carried on junior tradition with their publication of more outstanding Jinx editions. The Junior Prom was the climax of their year, however, and provided a most wonderful and gracious intermission-between-semesters for juniors, Seniors, and faculty alike. But none of these successes would have been possible with- out the able and understanding guidance of Miss Doreen Lidgate, their class sponsor.

MRS. NEIL Sponsor Sophomore Class History The Sophomore Class, with five new mem- bers, began the year with the formal Lambda Initiation and tea in September. Off to a good start with their very successful White Elephant Sale at the Bazaar, they also organized the food sale which has been popular. The class tea fol- lowed in December, honoring Mrs. Prichard, who also, as a member of the English Depart- ment, helped the newly elected Quill Staff which has been working hard on this year's literary publication. Ably guided by Mrs. Neil, the Sophomore Class has happily passed their second year of high school.
