OUTDOORS CLUB The ultimate contrast to everyday scholarly activities is to be found outside in nature, and the basic function of the Outdoors Club is to provide the opportunity for students to experience the Great Outdoors. Their outings consist mainly of short hikes taken on the weekends, with one or two longer trips that entail camping overnight. 57

GIRLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The Girl's Athletic Association (G.A.A.) is a club designed essentially to support the girl's athletic teams at Saint Monica. The club is made up of students interested in getting involved in a varity of activities to raise school spirit and display school pride to those who visit our campus during athletic events. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Eligibility for the Notional Honor Society is based on a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 in scholarship. A student must be nominated for membership by a faculty member on the basis of service, leadership and character, and the nomination must then be approved by a membership board. CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION The purpose of C.S.F. is to encourage scholarship and service among high school students. The motto of the federation is Scholarship for Service. Admission into C.S.F. is open to all students who earn the required scholarship points. Students qualify for membership in C.S.F. on the basis of semester grades.
