A ii--vi Jacqueline Sheehey President Marlene Delivuk Gerri Walters Vice-President Minute Secretary Joyce Sanchez Margi Schiesl Point Secretary Treasurer GAA BOARD . . . First row: J. Villaryo, R. Navarette, O. Bontty, D. DeNisi; Sec- ond row: S. Sprigg, P. Burg, J. Jones, M. Roffi; Standing: N. Spalding, M. Schiesl, J. Sanchez, G. Walters, AA. Delivuk, J. Sheehey. The GAA is like a brilliant torch kindling in each member a love of good sportmanship and fair play. This year the torch was lit with the enthusiasm of the membership drive. The flame burned brilliantly through the sports' year, especially during the struggle for the volleyball championship, the Homecoming Dance, and Hi-Jinx when the Seniors and Sophomores battled for the basketball banner. The flame leaped higher at the swim meet, and the final elections, and glowed even more brightly at that memorable final ban- quet. From this brilliant torch of the GAA, we hope that each member has caught the spark of good sportsmanship and fair play. Let this spark light your way up the steep road of life, glowing with memories of the wonderful spirit of the GAA.

Each month brings with it an array of activities which branch out into dif- ferent phases of Catholic Action. October begins the year with the traditional Mother Marie Rose play. In December, Our Lady's Committee prepares the Immaculate Conception play. During December, each com- mittee finds a part to play in bring- ing joy to those in need. February brings the Los Gatos ceremony. Dur- ing the month of March, activities center around vocations in life, the most important activity being the Vocation Play. In May, as a tribute to Mary, the Sodalists march in pro- cession carrying her banner as their pledge of love and loyalty. The motto of the SSO, To Jesus through Mary , will always be alive in the heart of a true Sodalist. 49
