BOYS' S S O Brett Schriever Ted Sullivan Vice-President Vice-President First row: R. Fottrell; Second row: J. Callahan, M. Rennie, R. Williams, E. Brayton; Third row: J. Clyne, H. O'Hara, R. Hemenez, B. Schriever,- Fourth row: P. Leavitt, J. Bambrick, R. Galvan, P. Rennie, J. Hughes. This school year of '54-'55 has seen a reorganization in the structure of the Boys' Sodality of Mary. The smaller group meetings resulting from the reorganization of the So- dality, it is to be hoped, will better aid the Sodalists in attaining the ob- jectives of the Sodality. Under the able assistance of Brother Cornelius, we are confident of witnessing ever- increasing fruits from the projects and activities of sodalists at St. Monica's. The Sodality offers a variety of ac- tivities to the diligent-minded stu- dent. This year, a small delegation from St. Monica's attended the an- nual Union Sodality Forum at Mount Carmel High School. For the social minded Sodalist, recreation is of- fered at the annual Sodality Ball. All students must keep in mind that the Sodality is not a school club, but an organization dedicated to the Blessed Virgin for the spiritual ad- vancement of its members.

Weston, J. Dodt; Second row: S. Mess- mer, M. Gallegos, P. Hill, Y. Morales, S. Hon, N. Spalding, B. Gard, R. Oliver. The purpose of the SSO is to instill, through its various committees, the spirit of Catholic Action in all those with whom it comes in contact. Each month brings with it an array of activities which branch out into dif- ferent phases of Catholic Action. October begins the year with the traditional Mother Marie Rose play. In December, Our Lady's Committee prepares the Immaculate Conception play. During December, each com- mittee finds a part to play in bring- ing joy to those in need. February brings the Los Gatos ceremony. Dur- ing the month of March, activities center around vocations in life, the most important activity being the Vocation Play. In May, as a tribute to Mary, the Sodalists march in pro- cession carrying her banner as their pledge of love and loyalty. The motto of the SSO, To Jesus through Mary , will always be alive in the heart of a true Sodalist. 49
