Class Presidents: Monica O'Flaherty, George Jun- ger, Celina Simpson. CLASS OF '56 On September 7, 1954, we, the junior class, 150 strong, our hearts filled with hope, and spirits high, began to blaze the trail to leadership. We remember the picnic at Griffith Park, the junior movie The Broken Arrow followed by our record dance Indian Summer, the raffle spon- sored for the purpose of obtaining Bee team warm-up jackets, the excitement over order- ing our senior rings, and the prom Prelude in Pastel . We surely hope that it was a pleasant memory for the seniors. We extend our sincere thanks to our moderators. Sister John Marie, Sister M. Louise Christine and Brother Evaristus, for their help and patience in guiding us through our junior year. As this page in our book of memories draws to a close, we wish to offer to the seniors, whose shoes we must fill, our congratulations and best wishes. You have given us much to strive for in following your example in leadership, sportsmanship and’accomplishment. Our junior year! It lived up to our highest expectations, marking a growth in unity, accomplish- ment and spirit. 34
