Teacher of commercial subjects and Sodality moderator. Sr. M. Concetta, C.M.P. Teacher of religion, languages, and social Studies. CHARLES ABELL CO -4 CM Charlie is another one of our dignified looking Senior Boys. He is about 5' 8 tall and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He came to St. Mildred's in 191+9. .He is a member of the Student Council, and his J favorite sports are Hunting, Baseball and Football. He lives on a large tobacco farm near Bowie. His ambition is to become an expert pilot in the Naval Air Force. He was born March 31, 1935 WILLIAM AHLQUIST J Billy Ahlquist was born in St. Paul, Minne- sota on July 3 1935 He has blond hair and blue eyes. He is about 5’ 7” tall. Swimming, Football and Baseball are his favorite sports. His hobby is photography, automobiles and giving everyone a hard time. William is Chief Photographer for the Year- book and he also is fond of giving driving lessons to anyone who has the nerve to take them. WILLIAM COYNE William Coyne, better known to his class- mates as Billy was bom on April 30, 1931+ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is 5' 8£ tall and has blue eyes and reddish brown hair He came to SMH in 191+9 and has been President of the Senior Class. He is best known for his curly tresses, and Physics is his favorite subject. His ambition is to become an Engineer. JOHN MOLL John Moll has been with us since 191+9 and is 18 years of age. He is Editor in Chief of the Clarion, Yearbook and the Commercial Comer. He made his place of residence in Odenton Md. and his ambition is to become a Television Technician. He is best known for his radio know how and his favorite sub- lect is Physics. ALICE BOYLE ■9 Alice Boyle is our brown-eye brunnette whose ambition is to become a Typist. She is 5' 1 tall. Her hobby is Baby sitting and her favorite subject is Typing. She has atten- ded both St. Mary's and St. Mildred's High School. Alice has been the Vice-Prefect of the Sodality. Swimming, Dancing and Bcvling are her favorite s«port rt She lives here in Laurel. She was born on June 17, 193i|. co CM O BETH HINES J The baby of the senior class is Helen Elizabeth Hines, better known to us as Beth . She was born in Baltimore on May 1, 1936, and came to SMH in 19l|.9 She is 5' 2£ tall, has hazel eyes and is our only red head. Her favorite sports are Baseball and Football. She is on the Student Council, Captain of the girls for the yearbook,Sec- retary of the Senior Class and Librarian. Her ambition is to become an efficient nurse. KETTY MEDINA Maria Enriqueta Medina, known to her class- mates as Ketty”, was bom on January 9, 193 4- in Guayaquil, Ecuador, South America. She is 5' 2n tall, has black hair and dark brown eyes. She came to SMH in 1951 She has been Secretary of the Sodality, Treas- urer for the Senior Class and Typist for the School Publications. She loves sports, especially SwLmming, Socker, and Baseball. Her hobby is record collecting and her am- bition is to be a success in life. MARILYN THON Lynn was bora in Laurel on August 12, 1935. She has brown hair and blue eyes and is 5 3 M tall. She is best known for her talking in class. She has held the office of Assi- stant Editor of the Clarion and the Yearbook, is a typist for the Commercial Corner and a member of the Student Council. In her spare moments she tries to cook. Her am- bition is to become a nurse so that she can help those who eat what she cooks. PAUL MAKOWSKI Paul.Makowski was born In Winooski, Vermont on November 18, 1935 He is 6’ 1 tall and has green eyes and brown hair. His hobby is finding fault with girls. His favorite sports are Football, Hockey, Swimming and Lacrosse. He is one of the more ambitious Fort Meaders and his favorite pastime is keeping the class alive. RICHARD REIDY Richard Reidy, better known as Dick is 5' 85” tall and has light brown hair and blue eyes. He was born on October Uj. 1935 at Fort Banning, Georgia. He likes Football, Baseball, Swimming and, sometimes, school. He is Vice-President of the Senior Class and reports for the Clarion. His hobby is driv- ing his father's Buick, his favorite subjectj Advanced Algebra. His greatest ambition is to attend West Point and then join the Air Force. J FRANKLIN SEVERANCE Franklin Severance was born on December 1, 1935 He is 5’ 8 tall, has brown eyes and dark brown hair. He also came to SMH in 19I4.9 He has been President of the CSMC, Captain for the boys for the Yearbook and reporter for the school publications. His hobby is working on cars. Hunting is his favorite sport, and he hopes to become an expert biologist. JOHN SIMONS J John Simons, otherwise known as Jackie also came to SMH in '14.9 He was born in Miami, Florida, on February 3, 1935 He stands 5’ 10w, has grey eyes and brown hair. He is best known as the Sisters' fix-it man. He enjoys Cars and Hunting. Jack has been Vice-president of the CSMC, Assistant Editor of the Commercial Corner, Student Council Member, and Typist for the Clarion. He hopes to become a Naval Officer. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATING SISTERS CO CM Sr. M. Josita, C.M.P. Sistar was attending St. Mildred's High when she heard the call and entered St. Mary's Convent, Huntington, W. Va. There, after her profession, she finished her high school. Sr. M. Aurea, C.M.P. Sister came to us from western Germany. Just a little more than a year ago, she entered St. Mildrocl’s mainly for the pur pose of learning English. Senior Class Will I, John Moll, will my editorship positions to Larry PUrschwita, my Jobs at running the mimeograph to Shirley Wesley, my Joke collection to Kathleen Keegin, my fuchsia bow-tie to Donald Kutaera, and finally, I will all the boarders to Melvin Buck. I, Beth Hines, will my beautiful naturally curly hair to Helen Burch, my love for studying to Julia Schonenberg, my quiet temporraent to LeRoy Reckling, my love of food to Carol Poslk, and my green eyes to James Duggan. I, Richard Reidy, will my answers in Sociology to anyone who wants them (for a price), my ability to talk in class and get away with it to Eileen Brod- erick, my sense of humor to Sr. Concetta, and my big green Buick to Edith Scherer. I, Iynn Thon, will my driving ability to Pat Fleeter, my baby-sitting Jobs to Edith Scherer, my ability to do Shorthand to Dolores Thompson, my short walk to school to Kathleen Mack, and ray will to reduce to Robert Binder. I, Jack Simons, will my quiet ways to Mary Heilman, my ability to play foot- ball to Frank Greco, i y ability to drive pick-up trucks to James Ahlquist, my ability to overturn '47 Dodge cars to Lawrence Wesley, ay ways of getting on the good side of the Sisters to Tonia Bahr, and last, but not least, my A's in Business Math to Veronica Moran.(does she need them?) I, Alice Boyle, will my long hair to Pat Broderick, my giggles in class to Alberta Gallis, my speed tests to James Lepore, my bus tickets to Helen Fowler, and all of ay money (if I acquire any) to Lois Dwyer. I, Billy Coyne, will my long scrawny hair to Vincent Knoac, my ability to get into arguments to Joan Short, my collection of weapons to Janice Makowski (to help her catch a man), and my style of playing hookey to Frank Binder. I, Ketty Medina, will ay airplane trips to Fay Stanford, my Spanish accent to Warren Hall, ay ability to dance to Carol Bryan, my Afs to Eugene Heilig, and one of ay Spanish caballeros to Alice Cooney. I, Frank Severance, will my habit of being late for class to Vincent Knox, my love of the outdoors to my brother, my bushy eyebrows to Freddy Mack, my ability to wreck Fords to Maryanna Bertling, and ay pipe to Helen Burch. I, Paul Makowski, will ay height to Maryanna Bertling, ray good looks and wonderful personality to Robert Binder, my ability to quiet Sr. Concetta to Barbara Stewart, and ray brains to Gertruda Mack, (in a Jar) I, Billy Ahlquist, will my driving ability to anyone who wants it, my photographic skill to James Clements, my blonde hair to Miriam Allen, and ray technique with girls to Mike Wesley.
