Thanksgiving came and went, and with it the Nbeginning of the basketball season. Our team was the best Saint 1V1ike's had had for a number of years. Excitement ran high, and the student body turned out for game after game. With December, the Advent Season began. During this Holy Season the Glee Club spread Christmas cheer with traditional carols. They sang for smiling Christmas shoppers at Mellon Square, and entertained the dear old ladies at the St. ,lo- sephis Home. We felt a warm and happy feeling inside because we knew we had made the holiday season brighter for others. It seemed as if it were yesterday that we ourselves were being initiated. Remember the pride that swelled in our hearts when the ring of Saint lVlichael's was placed reverently on our fingers, and what a gala time we had at the Ring Social! Suddenly it was October, and we found our- selves face to face with the photographer. Does my hair look O.K.? ls my tie straight? We sat still, said Cheese,', and hoped for the best. Remember how snowy and white the lobby looked the night of the Winter Formal! The Stu- dent Council transformed the room into the wintry atmosphere of a moonlit sleighride. This was the last Winter Formal of our school days at St. Michael's. Maybe we had this in back of our minds as we danced in the wonderland, and maybe that was why we all agreed it was the nicest formal we had attended. These were happy months filled with the fun, laughter, and work that happens only to seniors.
