ALITUM The autumn oak traces a rich bronze Onto the blue. At its feet chrysanthemums nod. The air is cool, pure and winelike. All the world is crisp and deepwdyed. It is the brave beauty of the year Parading into death. When the ghosts of those bronze leaves Swirl into the howling sky. But death is to the unwise: Earth knows that winter is the womb of spring. The wistful soul of man knows no final winter When the trees are black . . . When ice-fingered wind rakes thebrown brush Behold a Woman crowned with December stars The human Immaculate! Totally beautiful! Utterly terrible! Quickened with the ancient Hope. The Redeemer! The Godly One! The Root of Jesse! Emmanuel!

Y X it IQ, Eternity, the ring, and our class are inter- woven in the first main event of our senior year. Although Ring Day began with the same procedure we followed every Friday morning, after Holy Mass a considerable change took place. For the first time we would accept the leadership of the school by accepting her ring. We Open The Q Year With Christ WJ In a very beautiful ceremony we received our class ring which is a sign of unity and eternity. The ring in itself is not a sign of power, but it is an everlasting reminder that we are members of the 'Class of 759 pledged to the best for ourselves, for our school, and for our God.
